After getting married to Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani was not one of those who sit and home and be a precious ornament for her husband. Prior to the marriage Nita Ambani put it forward to her father in law Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani and her husband, that she would like to work even after getting married which was happily accepted by both.

Nita Ambani successfully got the Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital restored and made sure that best of healthcare facility is provided in the hospital. She has also made sure that one tenth of the 345 bed are reserved for the poor. The foundation also operates free mobile health clinics in the neighborhood. She randomly takes tour of the hospital. She also revealed that she had herself interviewed the staff at the hospital not only the hospital staff she had also interviewed all the teaching staff for the Ambani School.
