Why Throw Away The Plastic Bottles When You Can Create Something Beautiful?

Why throw away the plastic bottles when you can create something beautiful?

Creating something on your own is always, always cool. And, when you take that effort to an even higher level and put use to those dirty old things or the ‘waste products' as they call it, your art becomes more refined and appreciable. After all, you are putting use to the unusable.

Most people, even those very much honest to recycling, just throw away everything plastic once they have used it for its primary purpose. Little do they know how much they can save and create just by reusing those seemingly waste plastics!

Before I get any further, here's a quick question: Do you know that the PET plastic bottles you throw away after using once can actually be very useful, thereby decreasing the load of pollution caused by plastic. Yes, those PET plastic bottles are made of transparent, resilient, flexible and ‘food safe' material.

Well, you don't necessarily have to store pulses and food in there, but even if you do, know that it's completely safe. So, here are a few ideas you can use to bring out your creative side, put use to those plastic bottles and save the environment at the same time.

1.    Outlandish Garden
How can you possibly make a garden using plastic bottles, right? Well, all you have to do is place the bottle horizontally and cut out a rectangular piece. The next step is to fill in half the bottle with soil & put your preferred seeds and plants in there. Repeat the same with as many bottles and kind of plant you like, and the next thing you know- Your Outlandish garden is ready.

Another way is to draw a shape you like on paper and cut it out, then place it on the bottle and cut it in that shape. Paint the bottle, put soil & your plants in and you are good to go.

2.    Eccentric Chandelier

Chandelier and plastic bottles, huh? This must be the first thought popped up in your mind, but don't jump to conclusions before you see the results. What you need to do is cut out the bottom of the bottles; you'll need 50 or may be 100 or more depending upon the size of the chandelier you are looking forward to make. Glue them all together in a semi-spherical shape. Don't forget to make a hole in the piece placed in the centre. Attach a bulb to a strong wire and pass it through the centre. Your chandelier is ready to light up your room.

3.    Scaly Lamp
You'll need a wide bottle and a packet of plastic spoons. Cut out the bottom half of the bottle and tips of the spoon. Put some glue on the spoon tips and glue them together on the outer surface of the bottle. Attach the bulb to a wire and pass it through the neck of the bottle. Switch on the bulb and gloat under the light of your creation. Tip: Play with the colors. You can also take multi-colored spoons to add a colorful touch to your lamp.

4.    Paint Stamp
This one actually doesn't require any work. You just take a bottle and the color of your choice in a pallet. Dip the bottom of the bottle in the paint and start stamping your heart out. Well, don't waste paper, do it as per your need, to make a wall paper, to make a gift wrapping paper, to make a painting, anything. After all, the whole point is to encourage re-use of whatever we can and reduce the wastage.

5.    Bird Feeder
Take a bottle and two wide mouthed spoons. Pass the spoons through the bottle. Make two holes in the bottle just above the two spoons and fill it with millet.

So, pick up those extra plastic bottles lying around in your kitchen and show the world your artistic side.
