Metuh Agreed to Return N400m and Wrote to EFCC Same

EFCC or Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is currently prosecuting past National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party Olisa Metuh. Now, Metuh Efcc has been the buzz word all over the internet. Metuh's defence counsel Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu told to EFCC willingness of his client to return N400m that was allegedly received in November, 2014 from office of the National Security Adviser. In fact, prosecution alleged that there was a collection of $1.2bn funds diverted from the former NSA office. This amount was mentioned as for the purpose of buying arms and for some other needs. Eventually, this money was used to launder bad image of former president Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential elections in the year 2015, but he was lost in the elections.

Meanwhile, there was another story in this context as Dasuki Gates, where Mr. Nicholas Ashinze former assistant to the Sambo Dasuki who is ex NSA adviser sued the EFCC for his illegal detaining for N500m compensation. Nicholas Ashinze arrested by EFCC on December 23rd, 2015 claiming an involvement in the siphoning of $2.1bn arms fund. Ashinze is in the custody of EFCC since the arrest took place and yet to be charged in the court. There is a lot legal action taking place throughout the story since its beginning. Though, the clarity and serenity yet to be established by the EFCC and is laid its evidence through 8 witnesses.

At this kind of scenario, every Nigerian is now confirmedly feeling that their nation is currently strained badly through corruption as well as bad leaders. The present day top three Nigeria corruption cases those are not yet concluded legally are significant proof in this context and those three cases are Colonel Sambo Dasuki, Senator Stella Oduah and Olisa Meth. Also, it is imperative here once again to remember some of past unresolved corruption cases too those are Farouk Lawan, Alex Badeh, High Chief Tempolo and Patrick Akpobolokemi. This is how every Nigerian feeling worried and bad about the present day corruption and bad leaders in their society.

Metuh Efcc or the trending Dasuki gates incidents are significantly warning the public of the Nigerai to be attentive about things happening in their nation. Legal system is definitely doing its best in bringing the facts to our knowledge. But, it is now the duty of the public of Nigeria to safeguard their country through not trusting the bad leaders. As long as bad leaders given priority in the election, the corruption will be on its rise forever. Identify the right leaders among you in a way the nation can be a best place for the public.
