DRDO is a piece of the four bureaus of Ministry of Defense which produces safeguard gear and gives its administrations to the country. Agni 5 missile is one of the parts of the missile framework, AGNI, and is the rendition third of AGNI 3 which can extend its extent from 5000 to 8000 km. Agni 5 Missile is a 3 stage solid fuelled, road mobile, intercontinental ballistic missile. It is 5,800 km range nuclear weapon capable missile with durability and operational flexibility. This rocket has the dispatch weight extending between 50,000 to 55,000 kg and length running between 17.5 to 20 meter. Agni 5 goes under the gathering of Intercontinental Ballistic Missile which are similarly quicker, taken a toll - powerful and are of colossal military abilities.
The development of Agni 5 began in 2009 and the principal test dispatch of Agni 5 was done on 19 April 2012 from the shore of Orissa. The second test dispatch occurred on 15 September 2013 where the rocket was propelled from the versatile launcher of Integrated Test Range which went on for around 20 minutes. The third test dispatch was led on 31 January 2015 and this time, the rocket utilized a canisterised form and was put over a Tatra and it gave a consequence of remarkable auto - dispatch.
To be perceived as one of the Global super Power, India required a completely created and experienced Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. Beginning parts of Agni had the scopes of: Agni 1 - 700 km, Agni II - 2000 km, Agni III - 2500 km, Agni IV - 3500 km were insufficient to be numbered under Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. This need lead to the improvement of Agni 5 which is enduring, valid and strong and is sufficiently competent to speak to India as a Global Super Power nation.
